Penn State’s Smeal College of Business wins first prize in the second annual Rice MBA Marketing Case Competition sponsored by Cameron

On April 6th, 10 MBA teams competed at the Jones Graduate School of Business for $3500 in cash prizes

For the second year in a row, MBA students gathered at Rice University for the 2013 Rice MBA Marketing Case Competition hosted at the Jones Graduate School of Business. Cameron was the inaugural platinum sponsor of this year’s competition and has supported the Rice MBA Marketing Case Competition since its inception.

Jeanette Pasuizaca ’13 worked both years organizing the event and is VP of special events. “We were excited to partner with Cameron for the second year of this competition and extend the company’s relationship with the Jones School. Their generous platinum sponsorship ($10,000) enabled us to maximize the reach of the Rice Marketing Club’s two signature events, the Marketing Case Competition and Marketing Symposium.”

The Rice MBA Marketing Case Competition catapulted to the national stage by hosting business school students from Penn State University, Rice University, Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, Texas Southern University, University of Houston, and University of Texas – Dallas. Ten teams used their analytical and presentation skills to provide marketing solutions to a panel of Cameron executives, Michael Mancuso, Devin Galimore, and Badri Mani, and former AMA Houston president and Jones Graduate School of Business lecturer, Gary Carson.
