Rice MBA Alum Hosts Presidential Visit

Rice MBA and REEP Alumnus and school leader Steven Khadam-Hir hosts President George W. Bush and numerous education leaders at the KIPP Intrepid Middle School for a roundtable discussion on the importance of school leadership on student achievement.

The Bush Institute’s Alliance to Reform Education Leadership networks high quality principal leadership programs together to advance their practice. Almost 150 Houston-area educators have participated in the Rice University Education Entrepreneurship Program (REEP) in the Jones Graduate School of Business. KIPP was founded by Mike Feinberg and Dave Levin.

The book Work Hard, Be Nice about the launch of KIPP was the Rice freshman Common Reading in 2010. President Bush is the first president in American history to have an MBA.
