Executive Director of Marketing and Communications - The Executive Director of Marketing and Communications for the Jones Graduate School of Business (JGSB) is responsible for marketing JGSB to a broad range of stakeholders. Primary goals are focused on business development (attracting quality applications to degree and non-degree programs), enhancing the brand consistent reputation of the school, and engaging and communicating the school’s stories, programs, services and values to internal and external stakeholders. JGSB stakeholders include: faculty, staff, students, prospective students, recruiters, alumni, donors; the Council of Overseers, Board of Trustees, Jones Partners, the Houston and national business community, the news media, government, other business schools and institutions of higher education, the surrounding community, and the general public. The Executive Director of Marketing and Communications reports to the dean and plays a leading role in developing marketing strategy to support business development initiatives throughout the school and analyzing and influencing perceptions of the Jones School with a goal of enhancing the brand.


Web Technical Specialist - The Web Technical Specialist is responsible for producing standards-based, semantic markup and coding for the responsive web for all Jones School related websites. They will develop, implement and maintain the Jones Graduate School of Business, various micro-sites and affiliate web sites, eBlasts, blogs and social media sites. This person will be working primarily in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3 and jQuery, updating existing sites and implementing new designs. S/he must be capable of producing standards-based, semantic markup and coding for the responsive web. The Web Technical Specialist will interface with Marketing, External Relations, Rice Alliance and other departmental web editors as well as add/update/format content to the various websites as assigned by the creative director.

 

Senior A/V Technician  - As a team member of the Jones Graduate School AV group, the Senior A/V Technician provides customer service to the Jones School staff, faculty and students. This person will supervise and train the AV group in the upgrade, troubleshooting and maintenance of classroom technology system and monitor updates to the programming system. The Senior A/V Technician monitors A/V systems’ status and serves as the “first responder” for issues or problems in McNair Hall. The Senior A/V Technician is responsible for assisting faculty and other system users in the general use of instructional technologies, providing technical assistance to users if problems occur, and alerting appropriate IT system support staff of outages and other problems when they occur.

 

Associate Director, Admissions - The Associate Director of Admissions will grow the quality and quantity of the applicant pool and enrollments for the Jones School. This position enrolls a diverse class of students that will help the Jones School achieve national stature and be competitive with top 10 MBA schools in the country. Responsible for recruiting, operations, marketing, advertising, and systems of the Admissions Office for the MBA and MBA for Professionals programs. This position ensures that all admissions goals, set by the Dean of the Jones School, are met. The Associate Director of Admissions must be able to establish and maintain a strong rapport with current and previous Jones School students, administration, faculty and corporate recruiters to promote the ideals of the admissions office. This position works with the Jones School marketing office to develop print and web-based materials to market the various components of the MBA and MBA for Professionals programs. This position maintains relationships with prospective and admitted students to improve overall program metrics.


Faculty Recruiting

Faculty Position in Finance (non-tenure track) - The Jones School is seeking applicants for one non-tenure-track position in finance (rank to be determined).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in Finance and evidence of high-quality teaching are required. Excellence in teaching and service are the primary criteria for the position although contribution to the school’s research environment can be a factor. Candidate must be capable of teaching across wide spectrum of subject matters such as corporate finance, investments, business economics, and international finance. The Jones Graduate School of Business offers full-time, executive, and professional MBA programs, a PhD program, and an undergraduate minor in business.
