Leadership Houston Collaborates with Rice to Present New Leadership Development Series

HOUSTON, January 16, 2006—In collaboration with Rice University, Leadership Houston is launching its inaugural “Leadership on the Edge” series on Saturday, Jan. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University, 6100 Main Street in Houston.  The workshop, “Spiral Dynamics Integral,” will be presented by Cindy Wigglesworth, CEO of Conscious Pursuits, Inc.  The workshop is open to the public.

Spiral Dynamics Integral, is a human development model that aids in the understanding of how and why individuals respond to life and others.  “The premise is if we understand why a person behaves they way they do, then we can respond more positively,” said Leadership Houston CEO David Nelson.  “This greater understanding leads to a more harmonious existence in the workplace, home, community and organizations.”

Formerly an ExxonMobil human resources executive, Cindy Wigglesworth is one of Houston’s most outstanding presenters with a pragmatic approach that engages every audience she teaches.  Attendees will never look at the key issues of family, community, or organization with the same eyes. The workshop is a great foundational session for anyone on a leadership journey no matter how mature their current skills.

The workshop fee is $35 for Leadership Houston members and $50 for the general public.  To register, go to www.leadershiphouston.org or call 713-529-8392.
