Jones School Welcomes New Director of Development

2011 RBPCOn June 1, Rachel Fleck joins Rice as director of development for the Jones Graduate School of Business.  The latest addition to external relations at the Jones School comes to Houston from Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. 

“The Jones School has been on an upward track for the last five years, and I’m honored to become part of such a dedicated team focused on its continued climb,” Rachel said.

A graduate of Central Michigan University with a B.S. in business administration, Rachel has spent her career in development and alumni relations with the University of Michigan, the last five years at Ross. As director of development, she will be active in development efforts for the school and will work closely with Ben Renberg, assistant dean of external relations.  

“In speaking with Rachel three personal traits stood out, she is motivated, talented, and deliberate. We’re excited she’s joining our team at the Jones School,” Ben said.

“I’ve spent the majority of the last four years with business school alums,” she said. “The passion and loyalty an alum feels for his or her alma mater is inspiring.  I saw the same excitement when I visited the Jones School.  This is a great opportunity.”

The Manchester, Michigan native enjoys traveling, running and spending as much time as possible with her six nieces and nephews.
