Executive Lecture Series Welcomes Romil Bahl, Managing Director, Infosys Consulting, March 30

HOUSTON, March 15, 2007—Romil Bahl, managing director of Infosys Consulting, will speak at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management, Rice University’s Executive Lecture Series on Friday, March 30, on “Think Flat: Shifting Operational Priorities in the Flattening World.” Bahl's lecture will be from Friday, March 30, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Shell Oil Foundation Auditorium, Janice and Robert McNair Hall, Rice University with a reception following in the Anderson Family Commons.
 
The Dean’s Lecture Series, which has been in place since 1997, is complemented by a new series begun in 2006, the Executive Lecture Series. Both series bring exemplary business leaders to speak to the Rice MBA, MBA for Professionals, and MBA for Executives students. The Houston business community as well as the Rice community is invited to attend these lectures free of charge.

Bahl has more than 18 years experience helping clients with business/e-business strategies, strategic technology direction, and large-scale technology-enabled transformations. He spent over eight years at A.T. Kearney/EDS, with his last role leading of EDS’ 6,000-person consulting services unit. He has specialized expertise in strategic planning and new business incubation and launch.
 
In addition to his EDS Consulting Services experience, his previous roles include leader of A.T. Kearney’s European strategic technology and transformation practice, based in London. Prior to that he worked with Deloitte Consulting and led the Southwest region’s strategic information systems planning team.
 
Bahl holds a Bachelor of Engineering from DMET, India and an MBA with a specialization in information systems management from the University of Texas at Austin.
