Where Theory Meets Practice
The El Paso Corporation Finance Center (EPFC or Finance Center) is designed to bring the markets to the students – and the students to the markets. This is done through integration into the Jones School finance curriculum, on-going resources training, and extra-curricular activities such as trading simulations. The EPFC is home to the M.A. Wright Fund, the Jones School’s student-managed investment fund.
The EPFC boasts 12 state-of-the-art HP ProLiant Blade Workstations offering industry standard software across financial markets (currency, commodities, energy, equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and real estate). Resources such as Bloomberg and Reuters provide students with access to a wealth of financial data and analytical tools.
The Finance Center is located on the west end of the third floor, room 354. Use of the EPFC is available to all students, but is strictly limited to use for academic purposes.
Information on the Finance Center can also be found at finance.rice.edu.
