Biotechnology and Health Care Club
Mission
To provide opportunities to learn the business of healthcare, and to interact with leaders in healthcare services, healthcare consulting, health insurance, health financing, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. We will increase students' awareness of career prospects in these industries in a supportive and collaborative community with other Jones School of Business Clubs in order to help students realize and reach their career goals.
This club is for:
Students with a general interest in the healthcare industry and in careers ranging from life sciences, medical devices, insurance and healthcare services delivery to professional services such as healthcare banking consulting, and venture capital. This year our membership will consists not only of MBA students from the Jones Graduate School of Business, but also graduate students from the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering.

Dues are $30 for a 1-year membership or $40 for a 2-year membership.
*Students in the joint MD/MBA program with Baylor College of Medicine are welcome to attend events the spring of their second year.

Events
Lunch Speaker Series
The Lunch Speaker Series provides a forum for members to interact with leaders of healthcare and biotechnology organizations. Seminar topics and frequency vary annually based on the expressed interests of club membership. Typical presentation focuses on job function, internships and industry issues presented by students, alums or invited guests.
Alumni Events
Club members will have the opportunity to meet with alumni in small groups for lunch or coffee to learn more about career opportunities. In addition, members can meet alumni at club-sponsored alumni networking events.
Career Services
Throughout the year, members form the BHC will provide new members with the resources to help improve their resumes, find an internship, and meet other students interested in biotechnology and healthcare. Students will be notified about panel discussions, coffee chats, resume reviews, and networking events by signing up for the club.
Treks
BHC in collaboration with other Jones Graduate School of Business Clubs will sponsor company visits to learn about companies in the healthcare and biotechnology space. Students are typically invited to a company for a few hours to meet representatives and learn about the company.
